Reflection from your bookseller, Lauren

Hi From Lauren at the Bookstore,
The end of the year is always a time to reflect and be grateful for all the blessings we have had in the last year. I am grateful for so many things. Thank you for supporting your local indie bookstore! We are now three years old and growing exponentially.

Our goals for 2018 are clear and I would like to share them with you. As always, we continue to reach out to our community partners and have great events planned in 2018.
We partner with Trinity Preparatory School for their annual Author Festival. Mark your calendar for February 9 and check out Trinity Prep's website for the author line up.  In April, we partner with the Orange County Public Library for their annual Orlando Book Festival. We are putting together an incredible lineup of authors. Being a part of the community is embedded in our core and critical for our growth; we are overwhelmed by its embrace.

I recently looked at our mission statement written almost four years ago. What struck me was how much it continues to ring true for me today. The first line in the mission statement says:

“To provide a sanctuary for those who share a passion
                  and knowledge of books …”

It means so much to me to see people come in and take their time looking at books, sitting down and spending time relaxing among the books.

Lastly, I am committed to posting in the Writer's Block Bookstore blog regularly to share reviews, updates, news, and anything else going on in the store and in the book world.  Thank you for your continued support. We hope to be your “go-to” to find that special book you are looking for in our store and online.
                                                       Lauren Zimmerman
