In November we will be opening our second store in downtown Winter Garden. Click here to see the town. We will be located on the main street in historic downtown in a 1600 square foot historic space. About 20 minutes west of Orlando, this former citrus town established in 1908 is known for its many recreational amenities, events, and historical assets that make it a great place to live and visit. “The City of Winter Garden is extremely excited to have a bookstore opening up in our community. The Writer’s Block Bookstore will be a perfect addition to our mix of downtown retail stores and really bolster downtown businesses. The bookstore will finally fill a void created when Barnes and Noble closed back in 2015 and make a lot of people in our community happy.” Tanja Gerhartz,
Economic Development Director
"This week marks a sentimental time for us. We moved our store to a brand-new location on the main street of Winter Park one year ago. We are now adding a new bookstore to Winter Garden’s main street, thanks to the warmth and generosity of its citizens on November 1st. Bookstores are magical and unique places, and we are thrilled to be able to open a new bookstore in downtown Winter Garden." “A town isn’t a town without a bookstore.” Neil Gaiman
"We are bringing the success we created in Winter Park and are bringing a full services community bookstore in downtown Winter Garden. We will have all genres, adult and children’s programming, author events, book-clubs, gifts, literary trivia and game nights, and so much more. The goal is to create a warm and inviting space where customers truly enjoy themselves. Partnerships mean everything to us, so we look forward to partnering with all the other merchants to bring the magic to families and become a staple in the community." Lauren Zimmerman, owner
